Believe it or not, Apple’s World Wide Developer Conference this week marked the official end to iTunes. So, what does this mean for those of us who still use the service? Will music on Apple cease to exist? Luckily, the short answer is no. Apple is replacing the 20-year-old app with individual apps for music, podcasts, and TV, which will all exist separately from one another.
The date for iTunes’ official sunset has yet to be announced, but while we wait, it’s important to consider what this means for iTunes gift cards. Thanks to Apple, iTunes gift cards are NOT leaving us! You can still redeem iTunes cards across the App Store, movies, TV, or for Apple books. You can also use your iTunes gift cards towards a subscription for Apple’s streaming service, Apple Music, which offers unlimited streaming access to their entire music library.
Raise makes it easy to check the balance of your iTunes gift cards so you can redeem your credits in your Apple account. If you’re not ready to redeem your gift cards, store them in your Raise wallet so you never forget them.
