About Albertsons
Albertson’s was founded in Boise, ID in 1939 by Joe Albertson. He started with $5000 dollars of his own savings, and added $7500 that he borrowed from his wife’s aunt and together with his partner, L.S. Skaggs, he opened his first store on State Street. Today, Albertsons is one of the largest food and drug companies in America. They operate stores in 35 states under 20 banners.
