Codecademy is an online interactive platform that offers free coding classes in 12 different programming languages including Python, Java, JavaScript (jQuery, AngularJS, React.js), Ruby, SQL, C++, Swift and Sass, as well as markup languages HTML and CSS. It was founded in August 2011 by Zack Sims and Ryan Bubinski and in August 2015, Codecademy partnered with the White House, willing to host in-person meet-ups for 600 students from disadvantaged women and minority groups over a twelve-month period. The Codecadmy courses are mostly free. The site offers a paid "Pro" option that gives users access to personalized learning plans, quizzes, and realistic projects. Refunds are not available for Codecademy Pro purchases or post-trial charges.

All the courses on Codecademy are free. The free course catalog features hundreds of hours of content that help learners develop skills in their desired programming language. Moreover, there are Codecademy discounts with which you can spend only $17.99 per month and get a 6-month subscription plan and lots of deals that offer various useful programs.

If you are a teacher looking to use Codecademy with your students, the company is happy to provide discounted access to Codecademy Pro for high school educators, administrators, and their students (13 years of age or older).
