From Italy to America, Domingo Ghirardellisailed to the U.S and opened a general store in Stockton, California, selling supplies and confections to miners before opening his second store on the corner of Broadway and Battery in San Francisco in 1949, from here the rest, as they say, is history. Incorporated in 1852 and a division of the Swiss company Lindt & Sprungli, Ghirardelli Chocolate Company is the third oldest company in the United States and proudly, one of the only chocolate companies in the U.s to control every aspect of its chocolate manufacturing process.With a range of products, Ghirardelli is synonymous with high quality, luxurious, chocolate products.
